Implementation of the Australian Fumigation Accreditation Scheme (AFAS) in India - 1/09/2006

AQIS has finalised the implementation of arrangements for the recognition of Indian fumigation companies registered by the Indian Department of Agriculture and Cooperation (DoAC) under AFAS.

From 1 September 2006, fumigation certificates from Indian treatment facilities with fumigation dates of 1 September 2006 or later will only be acceptable to AQIS if they are valid and from companies on the List of Acceptable Indian Treatment Providers (list of acceptable providers available at - www.aqis.gov.au/afastp).
